Final Project < Forlorn Hope > Part 1.51 : the process!

The fonts, text boxes and panelling were also a major factor in the overall outcome of the comic. We referenced various sub-titled manga from the internet and found that most of them used the fonts "Wild Words" or "Anime Ace" and decided to go with that.

Being the one who read comics on a ridiculous basis and being the panelist, i designed the panels using the story board and how i pictured each scene to be from the sketches.A few samples have been attached to this post.

Also, to try to be as historically correct as possible, the team did quite an extensive research on the battles, the uniforms, the people of that era via wikipedia and other references.

The names of the main characters were found from a swedish name database which held the meanings of the names.

Sture : Wilful and Stubborn (suits the main guy in search of fame and fortune)
Matilda : Strength in Battle (she saves sture)
Karl : Man (which suited as Matilda disguised as a man)

The art style was decided to be a fusion of manga, western comics and rococo art(the art style of the mentioned era).

The rest of the process was simply Nike(Just Do It). =)
